Sheryl-Underwood

Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas, and was raised in the state. She was a television host of the talk show on daytime The Talk. She was born in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is the product of a very troubled background. She spent the majority of her youth taking care of Frankie. Frankie suffered from the disease polio. As a child, her relationship with mother was rocky. Sheryl asserts that, at one point, her mother knifed her father after he got too close to her. Sheryl when she graduated from college was drafted into the military. She was interested in comedy. In 1989, she became the first female to make it to the top in the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. She launched her TV work in 1992 by being a regular performer on HBO's comedy show Def Comedy Jam. She was a TV host for the 2000 season of Oh Drama! Then in 2011, she started participating in The Talk as co-host. In addition she has also appeared in a variety of fictional characters on series including Bulworth Nikki, and Beauty Shop.
