Zoe Saldana is the child of Asalia Saldana and Aridio Nazario. She was born in Passaic (New Jersey) on 19th June 1978. Her father is Dominican while her mother is Puerto Rican. Her family was raised by her mother who lived in Queens. When she was 10 years old her family and she were relocated towards the Dominican Republic, where they would live for the next seven years. Zoe began to develop a fascination to dance while in the Dominican Republic. Her first training was at ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy in which she was able to study dance and various forms of dancing. It was an excellent opportunity for an active youngster. It proved to be also a fortunate opportunity to begin her professional career. Zoe's family and she relocated to United States when Zoe was seventeen years old. The passion for dance and a desire to be on stage grew. Zoe not only held her own but also earned respect from the likes of Steven Spielberg, Jerry Bruckheimer, Keira, Knightley, Ashton Kutcher and Orlando Bloom. Her next production will be an upcoming romantic comedy starring Katie Silberman. Deutch and Silberman have previously collaborated on the Netflix hit, Set It Up (2018).
