Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles in a middle-class family. Her childhood was filled with dreams of great heights. Her most memorable roles include the action spy film Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol as well as the romantic dramatic Precious. Her family was a middle class one located in Los Angeles, she harboured many dreams in her early years. Instilling a passion for film within her daughter was a skill that she learned from her mother who was also a fan of movies. Paula was a fan of school co-curricular activities, and she was a huge fan of drama. Her classmates and she played together and took part in the school's productions. After starring in numerous high school productions at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School She decided to pursue acting her occupation. She was part of the University of Southern Cal's summer program, and enjoyed it immensely. The program awarded her a 3-month contract creating documentaries for PBS. The first assignment was to be a production assist for TV documentaries following her successful completion of the assignment. The next thing she did was start producing documentaries. Even though she loved working in the field, she wanted to become an actor. She started her career in acting when she appeared as Will Smith's co-star on love story Hitch. Since then, she has appeared in a number of well-known television and film shows.
