In seasons 1-8 the shippers make bids for two shipments on uShip, in an auction-style reverse. Bids are typically made with specific remarks on the costs and risks and the reasons and skills. The task is typically assigned to the bidder who has the lowest amount when the auction is over. However, at the discretion of the buyer the job may be awarded to a bidder who has a better feedback rating from previous clients. To break any ties, feedback ratings are used. Season 9 sees shippers receiving their cargo from a shipping agency. Bidding isn't shown. Shippers load their cargo and attempt to deliver it in perfect condition by the deadline given by the buyer or the receiver. After the cargo has been delivered, feedback scores are provided by clients. Every shipper's earnings along with the costs (fuel and labor as well as late-delivery penalties) are displayed on screen at the end. subtract from the bid for the purpose of determining the overall gain or loss. Sometimes, a shipper will arrange to haul one or more additional loads in the same journey, including the additional cost into their tally. In certain instances it is possible that the shipper is in a position to not complete the task due to concerns regarding weight or size of the load, or road safety. Sometimes, one or more shippers may enlist the help of a different person to assist in the completion of the job. The two shippers decide on how to divide the proceeds. Seasons 1-8 are full of funny critiques from the other shippers.
